The problem

Your DCO tracker is a liability, not a system.

A missed backstop date is a potential enforcement action. A spreadsheet passed around by email is not a compliance system — it's a hope.

  • No alerts when backstop dates are approaching
  • Colour-coded status anyone can accidentally overwrite
  • No audit trail — can't prove who changed what
  • Onshore and offshore in two disconnected files
  • Reporting to your client means exporting manually every time

What Veriflow does

Four things.
Done properly.

Not a generic compliance platform. Not an enterprise system that needs six months to configure. Just the four things a consent team actually needs.

01

Deadline alerts — automatic.

Every condition has a backstop date. Veriflow emails the responsible person at 60, 30, 14, and 7 days before the deadline — and again the moment it becomes overdue. The system watches all 40+ conditions at once, every day, with no one having to open a spreadsheet to check.

You configure the responsible person once when you import your conditions. After that, the alerts are automatic. You can also assign a reviewer who gets CC'd at 14 days.

Why it matters: A missed backstop on a DCO condition is a criminal offence under the Planning Act 2008. Excel has no concept of a deadline — it doesn't know when today is.

02

One register. Onshore and offshore.

DCO conditions, DML notifications, monitoring commitments — in one place. Not two separate files emailed back and forth. Search across everything. Filter by regulator, phase, consent type, or responsible person. The register updates live as your team works.

Each condition links to its DCO or DML reference, the phase it belongs to, which regulators are involved, and who owns it. No more cross-referencing between tabs to piece together what's happening.

Why it matters: Keeping onshore and offshore trackers in sync manually is fragile. Conditions often cross-reference the same regulator and the same consent — they should live together from day one.
03

Audit trail. Always on.

Every status change, every note, every document upload is timestamped and attributed automatically. Nobody switches it off. Nobody can edit history. You can pull a complete compliance timeline for any condition in seconds.

When a regulator asks "when did you first progress this condition and what decisions did you make?" — you have a documented answer. Not a best-guess based on email threads.

Why it matters: Regulators increasingly ask for evidence of process, not just outcomes. "The spreadsheet said so" is not an audit trail — and the spreadsheet doesn't even say who changed it or when.

04

Export what regulators expect.

One click generates an Excel export in the template format your regulators already recognise, or a formatted PDF compliance report for your client. The format is generated automatically — you don't have to maintain a separate reporting template.

The export reflects the live state of the register at that moment — every condition, its current status, responsible person, and key dates. You can export the full audit trail alongside it, or just the current-state snapshot.

Why it matters: Regulators and developers won't log into a new system. They expect the document they've always received — you just shouldn't have to produce it by hand every two weeks.
